Kelly Jackson is a tribal member of the Lac du Flambeau Band; she is a tribal advocate and a mother and grandmother. Her debut album Spirit of a Woman earned a NAMA for best American Album of the Year. Kelly has collaborated with other inspirational artists touching on a more alternative style pulling from spoken word, rap, and reggae with her single, Wake Up, for the 2017 Native American Music Rewards. She is a cofounder of Spirit of a Woman, a nonprofit organization designed to provide personal and professional development for women and girls.
Kelly Jackson Band opens our seventh series of Levitt AMP Stevens Point. The Levitt AMP Stevens Point Music Series is a CREATE Experience supported in part by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, a private foundation that empowers towns and cities across America to transform underused public spaces into thriving destinations through the power of free, live music. Learn more at concerts.levittamp.org.
Levitt is also supported by local sponsors: the City of Stevens Point, NRG Media, Cobblestone Hotel Stevens Point, Festival Foods, Prevail Bank, and Simplicity Credit Union.
