This free event brings together more than 50 local visual artists to display and sell their work in downtown storefronts, galleries, and restaurants. The event will also feature live dance and music performances along Main Street and nearby locations, including a performance by Monarch Aerial Arts dancers on the Square.
Four downtown galleries are participating in this year's experience, with Lee Ayers showing "Thomas Dailing Designs and Hidden Studio Tour Artists," the Q Gallery showing the work of local photographer Robert Rosen with “Rhapsody in Light,” the Riverfront Arts Center showing "Re-Art Revived Recycled," and the Smith Scarabocchio Art Museum showing the work of Dr. David L. Smith.
The event will close with the Mass Guitar Incident, a tradition that enables local strummers to play music together in the Mathias Mitchell Public Square. This year's bandleaders, First Avenue, have selected three songs: “Get Together,” “Let it Be,” and “Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere.” Tutorials and chord sheets for this year's songs are below!
