On October 22 from 5-8pm, CREATE is launching its newest experience: FIRE WORKS! In partnership with the Central Rivers Farmshed and Whitefeather Organics, this family-friendly event will provide participants with the unique opportunity to make and take art. Each attendee will receive randomly assigned coordinates that correspond to an original work of art (displayed on grids and lit only by bonfire) that they will get to take home! If you love it, this art is yours to keep. If you prefer to swap it, exchange it as many times as you like at our Trading Wall. This experience is fun for the whole family! This alcohol-free event will include fresh farm-to-table brick oven pizzas available for purchase.

Individual and family tickets are available for $10 and $25 respectively. The individual ticket includes admission to the event and one original piece of art. The family ticket includes admission and two original pieces of art. Families, if you would like to take home more than two canvases at the event, please let us know prior to October 14 and we will do our best to accommodate you. Note: Canvases will be subject to availability for anyone who purchases their ticket after Friday, October 14.

Become a FIRE WORKS Artist!

Step 1: Take a canvas for yourself and a few for your friends from one of the designated locations.
Step 2: Make art. Any medium is acceptable as long as it fits within the confines of the canvas.
Step 3: Turn in your art to one of the designated locations by Friday, October 14.
Step 4: Buy your tickets, available for purchase online at www.cwtickets.com.
Step 5: Enjoy the event and leave with new art!

FIRE WORKS: Mixed Media Painting Workshop
Monday, September 26 + 6 – 8pm
Monday, October 3 + 6 – 8pm

Maximum 12 participants per date, sign up at Gallery Q
Hosted by Erin Prais-Hintz and Mary Therese Murphy

Beginning mixed media painting tutorial. We will use brushes, fingers, glue and paint to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece specifically for the FIRE WORKS project! Appropriate for adults to feel like a kid again. If you happen to be a kid, age 12+, you can join in the fun if you bring a parent along! We will supply the canvas, brushes, layering papers, glue and black and white acrylic paint. You will bring your willingness to explore (and get your hands painty!) and one small bottle of an accent color (like the kind you will find at Michaels or Walmart) that you would like to work into your painting. (Optional: colored pencils and sharpener if you want to doodle, add words, etc.) No charge to attend, but you MUST sign up to reserve your space at Gallery Q.

FIRE WORKS: Canvas Workshop
Saturday, October 8 + 5 – 7pm

Join the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum on Saturday, October 8 from 5-7pm for a Canvas Art Workshop where you can create your very own work of art to be on display and for use at FIRE WORKS. CREATE will provide canvases and CWCM will supply a variety of art supplies. (A list of supplies available for use will be available prior to the workshop. Participants may bring in additional materials not on the list for their personal use).
