Throughout Surge, each contestant refines their business model, gains exposure, and builds their confidence while tapping into an audience of industry and community partners to expand their network. Ten entrepreneurs have been selected to pitch to our panel of judges for a $5,000 cash prize! Leading up to the competition on April 15th 2025, contestants have the chance to practice pitching, tell their start-up story, get tips from experts, and meet other entrepreneurs. Participants who attend at least one Surge prep events will qualify for a $500 stipend to invest in business resources.

Stevens Point Toastmasters
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that builds confidence and teaches public speaking skills through a worldwide network of clubs that meet online and in person. In a supportive community or corporate environment, members prepare and deliver speeches, respond to impromptu questions, and give and receive constructive feedback.
The Stevens Point Club meets in-person the first and third Thursdays of each month.
Founders Network
Founders Network is a collective of entrepreneurs and executive directors that hosts social events that inspire creative thinking and build social capital in Northcentral Wisconsin (The Upper & Central Wisconsin River Basin). General/Open group meeting held the first and third Wednesday of each month (8-9am in Create’s Idea Center).

Offered 6x per year, we help you explore the pros and cons of different business models, model revenue and get real world feedback on your ideas.
